I changed my mind and started planning. What content will I post this week? Am I going to follow a theme? What do my clients' audiences need?
It takes less time to plan a week of publishing than it takes to think about it every day. It may seem like the sum of the parts equals the total when you add up the time spent creating each article, but working in batches really saves time. Fill your editorial calendar once and for all.

7. Carefully monitor your engagement and metrics
Opening Instagram whenever your phone tells you you've received a "Like" or comment. It's like trying to work by trying to keep an eye on your mailbox and read every mail as it arrives. If you are constantly distracted, you will never do anything.
Plus, it's also not the best way to view your success: the information comes to you in the form of anecdotal evidence and you don't get the big picture. My advice is to turn off notifications (on the iPhone you can turn off banners and alerts, but keep the badge on the app icon). Then set a time to view your comments and review your stats.
